Avoid opening a business account with with FNB

I have recently opened a business account at FNB. What a nightmare. Avoid FNB business banking if you can, in my humble opinion. Firstly, I went to the closest FNB bank branch - which was closed. This was understandable to me considering the economic situation we are currently in. So, I tried to create it the account using the mobile app. This was relatively easy - however I made one or two mistakes that forced me to restart the process. It was very odd moving through the process again with the same answers, except this time I was provided with extra options / questions. Strange right? The mobile app according to me appears to function partially (which I am sure the bank will say is my fault). Now that the account was created, I see my information was incorrectly placed. Now it is possible that I completed the form incorrectly however I am sure I know what my surname is...definitely not a single letter (not even the letter my surname starts with). Again, I’m sure the bank will say this is my fault too. I see now that they are shipping my card (great right?) ...which I assume will contain the incorrect information. It has been almost 4 days and I received no communication (apart from a SMS saying I’m not compliant - see email). No email received. So, I try and log in and see what documents I can upload, which I do (apparently successful according to the system). However, the second I upload them - the upload disappears and there is no evidence that I ever submitted anything. No confirmation and no communication. So, I go only and try the secure chat. Here I am told I need to email everything to an email address that was never communicated to me. Why the online upload option if it does not work? No communication but I need to know this email address. The secure chat was very unhelpful. I requested that a business bank consultant call me, but I was told to call bank instead. I then tried to submit a ‘contact us’, which will not submit – something about a 404 error (my fault right). The business bank support for FNB is very unhelpful. Ironically, one would think that opening a business account during these times you would get support from the bank...think again, it appears I am more of a burden to them. If you can help it - avoid the FNB bank for business.
