Avoid eBuck Hidden Costs
I signed up for Priority Pass (PP) because I had a trip planned to Europe. I knew that I had 10 free visits to lounges when using PP. One the trip out of the country, I used PP for myself and two friends. Subsequently, I have also used it for a local flight from Durban to Cape Town. I was surprised when I saw a charge for over R1,000 on my account. When querying it, I have been told that they are not visits for use within South Africa. When looking at the eBucks website and reviewing the T&Cs, there is no mention of this. The support consultant says that this is a disclaimer that is agreed to when using the Point-to-Point service (completely unrelated). I have asked for a refund as the disclaimer is not clearly specified in any of the marketing material and I have been told that no refund will be given and the support ticket was summarily closed.
This is pathetic service and it is what is being provided by "private bankers" on the Private Clients account - it is a joke. I have half a mind to move to Capitec where the service is infinitely better.
