Available Balance and pending payments...

In response to the following post.

I am creating a new post because Facebook has nothing to do with this and hellopeter is insisting that I must sign into Facebook to comment? “Available Balance and pending payments... Richard D | 22 Jun 2018, 11:29 I'm getting very frustrated on how FNB manages payments and how they don't correlate to online statements and mobile banking app. Some payments take up to a week to come off my account, and when it does I sometimes go into negative. When I check my funds before a purchase it informs me of my available balance, But without me knowing there's pending items still. This needs to be fixed and be more transparent and reflect to what I actually have available... Then when I'm it this problem they still take off what I think is a penalty of R27.50. I rectified and made payment asap but now this penalty has put me into negative again... am I going to get another penalty for this? Makes no sense... In general everything else from FNB has been great but this needs fixing! and ASAP”

Reading these responses, I thought to myself there is a simple solution to this. Why not simply show the pending amount even if it is a separate amount in your main accounts balance page in the app.

The way it currently is, all the information is available, you just have to take a few extra steps.

I understand how this all works, I also recognize that this is not an FNB issue, but a global thing. If one googles it you will see that it affects credit cards all around the world.

I also understand that some of your clients are having a genuine issue with this, so why not simplify it for them in order to prevent them getting into financial difficulties.

FNB, I also see this as an opportunity to be a forerunner in this.

Just a suggestion to make it easier for your clients to see clearly what is happening in their accounts.

You guys are on top with everything else so why not this as well?
