Auction your house.... You will be blacklisted for the FULL amount outstanding BEFORE the auction. Get ready boy and girls. YOU will never get credit as long as you live.

Back drop. I bought my father a house as he was living on the streets. He found a job and paid rent. 2 years in he passed away.

Not being able to pay, I tried to sell. This was a buyers market in 2011 and could not get the house sold.

The house went on auction and I lost about a R150 000.

It is 2021, and thank you FNB - you have not offset the amount you made on the sale to what I owe you. This is terrible and affecting my credit score and hampering me from buying another house.

My action: I phoned 5 times to be put through to various departments to reallin my ITC and Experian with the LESSER amount. I know owe R780k on a house that was auctioned off. Where did that money go? It surely did not off set against what you made. And all you can say is WE WILL LOOK INTO THIS. IT HAS BEEN 10 YEARS! I have sent numerous mails with "a consultant will call you back shortly" THIS IS A DISGRACE. How many people are you doing this to? And then list us on ITC for the full amount. I will make sure the Country knows about this. I need an answer and my ITC/ Experian and whatever platforms you use to fix this immediately.

I want the amount you auctioned my house for offset against what is still outstanding In other I owed 700K, you sold it for R500k therefore ITC should show R200l. Then this needs to be fed through to ITC/ Experian as a matter of urgency. You got the house and the money, and resold it the same day. I will raise all sorts of hell if my credit score is not fixed immediately.

In accounting terms it is seen as double dipping. They got their money, and force you to pay for the house you lost. Which they sold. so using tools like ITC and Experian to block you and force you to pay the FULL amount again. Nice FNB. I am sure SARS will love to hear about this. *******.

A complaint has been lodged with the Financial Ombudsman. Email below refers:

Dear Sir/ Madam I do hope you can assist. In 2008 I purchased a home for my father who was unemployed and had nowhere to go. He passed sadly and I had tenants in the home who ruined the property. As I was only 29, I had no idea what to do and couldn't afford the property. FNB Home Loans auctioned the house in late 2011 and as my memory serves it was for R480 000. The balance on the bond was more or less R700 000.In the interim I went onto debt review to try and retain the house, but it was too late. I paid a Debt review Company for over 6 years to clear my name, only to find out they have been taking my money (R7000 pm) and disappeared. (This is a different matter all together)FNB Home Loans after auctioning the house, still proceeded to list me on ITC and Experian for close to R800 000. I have made numerous calls to them to ask why I was not listed for the balance of the outstanding balance after deducting the R480 000 with no clear answer. I have worked hard to pay off my accounts despite losing out on the debt review. I am finally removed from debt review, but have been phoning FNB home loans to try and adjust the amount listed on ITC/ Experian. with no luck. The reference in the header is the reference I was given. They sold the house for R480 000 x 12 months at 10 years - This amount comes to over a Million rands. And I remain blacklisted for the full bond amount. This does not make sense, as this is double dipping. They expect me to pay close to R800 000 and they have sold the house and are currently getting income on that same house 10 years later. I am willing to pay the correct amount off, but it is not almost R800 000. I have lodged a complaint on Hellopeter and sent FNB Home Loans emails and made numerous calls. Can you please advise and assist me? After being on debt review for almost 10 years, I am unable to open an account due to this issue.
