Good evening,
I trust this e-mail finds all of you well.
This is not a normal e-mail from a disgruntled client, but hopefully an eyeopener to you of how you truly handle Small to Medium Enterprises when given to chance to expand. I don’t expect much will come from this, since a big corporate like FNB and RMB doesn’t need 6 companies, they have too many to feel a few million leaving their pockets.
I have attached our contract with Imperial as well as the Bank Guarantee our supposed personal banker is referring to, but I would like you to note the following:
• Our records will show multiple payments more than R1 million from Imperial since the contract started in October 2022 • Before we confirmed with Imperial that we can do the overdraft against a Bank Guarantee, we first checked with Ms. Bulala if this could be done. This was in November 2022. • In February 2023 we received the Bank Guarantee, and I sent it to Ms Bulala, she initially called me to say it is perfect – quote. • It is important to note that I informed her we were about to launch on 1 March 2023 with the new model, and if we miss this it will jeopardize my contract with Imperial, putting many lives and the contract at risk. • 2 hours later she phoned me with queries and the debate between her and Nedbank started which lasted 3 weeks. • Approximately 2 weeks ago she informed me Nedbank is setting me up as they want my business. I am no fool, and I know they are doing this, but that is a FNB problem, not the me as the client. If I wanted to be with Nedbank, I would have taken their Group deal straight away which they offered in December 2022. • The same day she informed me she will not be needing the guarantee, as they will use our contract with Imperial to raise the overdraft, which she has had and scrutinized since December 2022. • Since then, I was unable to reach her on e-mail, cell phone or WhatsApp. What she is claiming below is blatantly untrue. Luzanne, who she is referring to, was sitting next to my hospital bed when Mr Bulala ignored my phone call, but answered hers, changing the story to needing the guarantee again, which was then sent to her, signed. • The above call took place on the 9th of March, further attempts to reach Ms Bulala proved futile, until I reached Dianne van der Merwe today who requested her to contact us with feedback. • The below feedback in my view is a slap in the face, given the loyalty we have shown through Epicentre AIDS Risk Management, Optimal Solve, Blue Skye Vizion, Nokeng Eco Lodge and Humanitas • All of the above includes fleet cards, credit cards, multiple accounts including an RMB account. • This excludes all the people involved with their own credit cards, loans, cheques cards etc. My estimate is in total you will lose about 30 accounts, maybe a little less, but hey who cares right? • Lastly, to mention, in November 2022 we requested Humanitas to be reactivated at FNB….nothing happened so far. And till now, VMK still doesn’t have Fleet cards as we requested.
Unfortunately, I believe Ms Bulala acted unprofessionally to and I am of the opinion that she is trying to lose us as a client willfully. Her conduct cannot be explained to me in any other fashion as it had a massive impact on our operations and our biggest contract with the constant goal post moving, excuses and then, disappearance.
I honestly hope we can save this situation as this affects so many people from the Cape Flats that we invest in to uplift them, but my belief in our “Business Team” is strong and we will survive this FNB faux pas.
Maybe other SME`s have better luck when dealing with your team, and I wish you and them all the best.
God bless.
