Atrocious service in 2020 from a supposedly forward thinking bank!
I approached the bryanston FNB branch on the 22nd of June to apply for a credit card. I was assisted by one of the consultants Portia Nenzhelele who asked me to send all my documents to her on email for her to process the application manually as through the online platform the application had been declined. I proceeded to send the relevant documentation to her as required on the 26th of June. I did not get an email acknowledgement or confirmation of receipt, or feedback for that matter. On the 30th of June I decided to call through to the FNB call center and spoke with a consultant who went on to check their system to see if my application had been lodged at least, and nothing reflected. Said consultant then further referred to the documentation I submitted to Portia and mentioned that I needed an application form together with my submissions of which I was not made aware of from the onset by Portia. The consultant confirmed with me she had sent an email to Portia to attend to my query and that she would be in touch. Nothing came of that either. After this, I then proceeded to the Bryanston branch, AGAIN, on the 4th of July to hopefully speak to Portia and inquire, she was not available on the day. A colleague of hers said he would pass on the message for her to get a hold of me. To this day I have not heard anything. I am an FNB customer and have been for some time. To get this sort of service in 2020 from a supposed forward thinking bank is beyond me. I shouldn’t be chasing feedback from a service provider especially considering I’m approaching the bank offering my modicum of business.
