ATM dispute troubles

I am currently in Croatia and I tried to swipe for something the other day using my credit card and it was not going through. I thought this was a problem with the machine however the next day I tried to withdraw cash (500 Kuna -Around R1200) however this also failed but the money was taken from my account. I contacted FNB on the messaging service and they told me my card was locked because a minimum payment was due however he noticed I had already paid this minimum payment and the agent manually opened my credit card.

It is obvious that this is the reason my swipes and arm withdrawal failed but I cannot understand how the ATM withdrawal still deducted money from me even though it did not process.

I urgently need the money reversed and FNB is busy telling me to contact the nearest bank here however they have told me to contact my bank in South Africa. The reason is not the bank here that this happened it's because the card was locked even though it should not have been.

The chat told me to log a dispute on the app which I did but he said it can take 40 days. This is unacceptable an I need this to be resolved much sooner than that please.

I am still in Croatia and can only be contacted via email or my Croatian number
