ARRANGEMENT FOR LOAN REPAYMENT

I took a spend loan of R3000 in June/july. My first instalment of approximately R850 went off on the 28/07/2015. I called the call centre today to make an arrangement for my instalments to be reduced since im going through a financial crisis. I was told by the consultant i cannot do that and i will pay until end of November. I know its a contract i have but what better way to be honest and pay what i have than not paying at all. If i have to change bank or lose my job and make an arrangement with them to pay what i can, they would accept that. Why not accept now. Its not like i dont bank with the guy and why pay R850 for 5 months for R3000? either way thats not the point. I am being honest explaining my situation AND NOT RUNNING AWAY. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE THAT YOUR BANK CAN DO THAT.
