Applying to extend Home Loan

When I first took out the Loan with FNB the issue of my roof sagging slightly was not an issue, then when I extended my bond to do some alterations the Valuer had no issues/concerns with the roof. I have now tried to get another extention on my home loan and the valuer wanted to get a roofing specialist to look at the roof. This we did and sent through the findings . As far as we told the only thing outstanding was this report. The roofing specialist mentioned that I should get an engineer in to get a design if I wanted to fix the roof. In his view there was nothing wrong structurally . I got the engineer in and he provided a report stating that the existing design of the roof from 50 years ago was still sound but he noticed that we could change the columns of the roof to improve the sagging. We were once again only asked for the report, we now are asked for a quote to fix the roof. The fact that I want to fix the roof is neither here or there, it seems as if the process in getting the extention has moving goal posts. I am hoping that the quote to have the improvements done will finally get the loan through as it has now been 3 months since I started the process.
