Apple Watch deal

I bought an Apple Watch on 02 October 2018 as part of the iStore / FNB promo whereby you could either pay the watch off over 14 or 27 months by using your FNB credit card budget facility.

I purchased the watch online as the FNB payment options - as stated above - were available to select on the iStore website - www.myistore.co.za - I have a screen shot of the options as proof.

I waited for the 5 days I was told it would take in order for the purchase to be moved from my straight facility to the budget facility and then called the premier division to ask them to action this. Was told it would take 3 - 5 working days. I followed up again and then again and again. Its now the 26th of November and it still hasn't been moved across. I've made 10 - 12 calls to the call centre already.

One reason given was that I never selected the correct options. I disagree with this as I have the istore order confirmation - which states the following on it -

FNB Credit Card Payment Terms - R607.71 per month for 14 months

How, if I didn't make the correct selections - can my order state that?

I got a response from my email complaints to ********** -

Thank you for your communication. In response to your enquiry, kindly be advised we are unable to trace an agreement for your iStore Online transaction R7,999.00.

This meaning the normal checkout process on our website was selected and not “Buy on FNB” specifically. Thus we will be unable to transfer the transaction to budget facility with the promotional rate as you do not qualify for the promotion.

I responded to that email immediately - on 24 October and have followed it up but have yet to get another email response from FNB.

I have continued phoning and each time get told the issue is being escalated. I don't hear back. Someone apparently tried to phone me (no missed calls that day and no message left) but about what I don't know as there is still no resolution.

I even went into a branch but they were not able to assist as apparently these deals only get dealt with telephonically.

Now the latest I hear is that there is an issue with my card and something about a 80/20 split. I have no clue what that is about, however, if you offer a deal you should honour it - the offer was to move the full amount over to budget and that is what I need done.

Additionally, its been mentioned in calls that consultants have never heard of the the deal being available online - and I guess that is ultimately the problem. It wasn't meant to be available on line - BUT IT WAS and I have the proof. All I need is for FNB to sort this out now and to honour the deal.

I could have made two payments already towards this!
