Appalling service - "How can we help you?" What a load of Bull.
"How can we help you" - what a load of *******. I am currently overseas working and while I'm away my bank card had expired. I have given my father signing power over my account while I'm away, just to make life easier until I get back to SA. I firstly battled to apply for a new cheque card, but eventually managed. I asked CCD to have the card couriered to the FNB branch The Grove shopping centre in Nelspruit. According to CCD : "Thank you for your mail, I can confirm that the card will be taken to the Grove Shopping Centre FNB branch, as you have requested. The card will be sent there on Monday the 25th of June and your ****her can go and collect it." - this was sent to me in June via email. I also received this notification from FNB in discussion on FB messenger with RB Jacobs: Hi Matthew,
You can order the card online and choose branch delivery. Since he has signing powers he can collect the card on your behalf.
Kind regards RB Jacobs
Today my father went into the branch to fetch the card, and firstly was told it wasn't there, secondly he was told that even if it was there, they would not give it to him, and thirdly that it was a credit card and not a cheque card. So right now I am highly upset by being **** to by both CCD and by FNB. My father has wasted his day having to driving into nelspruit to be treated like a ********. What is the point of handing signing power over to my father if FNB are going completely ignore that and treat him like a ********. In my opinion this is unprofessional and unacceptable for such a well known bank to treat its clients like absolute dirt. I now have to wait till I get back to SA, and on arrival go to branch and have to apply for a new card and sit without any way of accessing money while i wait for the card. If FNB really wants to help me, they will resolve this asap and ensure that the correct card is delivered directly to my father's door without delay.
