Appalling service from FNB re iPhone deal from iStore.

I have banked with FNB for 15 years, and I am totally shocked by the recent service I have received.

I bought an iPhone from the iStore two weeks ago with the FNB credit card promotion. The full amount is initially taken off your credit card, and after 5 working days it gets moved over to budget and your credit is restored. However, after two weeks it has still not been moved to budget, and I am now stuck with a credit card at its limit, unable to pay for anything.

I have called the credit card division every day since last week Wednesday, and have spoken to 5 different people. Each promised to investigate and calls me back, but not a single person called. Two escalated it to their manager who was supposed to call me, and I have received no call from him/her either. I have sent emails to the email address they gave me (***) and have received no contact from them either.

I am absolutely appalled by this. Today I called the credit card division 3 times, and was but on hold, redirected, and transferred back and forth each time. The one call even “put me on hold” - but clearly forgot to press the button - and had a fat chat with her friends while I was waiting for her to actually help me. She must have realized after a while that I was very much still there, and suddenly I got redirected (I hung up after 10 minutes of no answer from then).

FNB, I insist that you contact me with a solution soon. This is absolutely unacceptable from a bank that is supposed to have such a high standard, and I am a stone’s throw away from changing banks because of this situation.

Seems like this has been seen - got a complaint reference number via sms, and soon after the budget facility story was sorted. I would still like a reply to the appalling service though - hopefully someone will call me soon
