Appalling service from First National Bank
During May 2015 our company received telephone calls (once even after 19:00) and e-mails (which were riddled with spelling and grammatical errors) demanding certain documents regarding the company for FICA purposes. The e-mails threatened that the account of the company will be frozen if we did not respond. We were convinced that it was a phishing **** and e-mailed back, asking some particulars regarding some of the forms send to us and ask that somebody from the bank phone us and explain the context and necessity their request. We did not receive any reply.
On 3 June 2015 we report the '****' to our branch of the bank but they informed us that it was not a **** and also requested certain documents (which were different from the previous request).
Before we could comply our account was frozen on 9 June 2015.
On 22 June we lodge a formal complaint, stressing that it was very urgent as we have bills and salaries to pay. We were given the reference number 706911 and it was promised that we would be contacted within 72 hours. After 72 hours nothing has happened and we contact the complaint centre again and it was promised that our complaint will be expedited. No reaction yet.
