Appalling service from Credit card division

So I went to a branch to get my credit card account closed because I wasn’t agreeing with some transactions that I was seeing on it to also safeguard myself. Today a consultant from FNB called me and told me that even if I close the account if a service provider keeps on wanting to get funds from my ‘former’ account they can re-activate that account that I explicitly closed with the bank and I will be liable for it.......then what’s the point of having my accounts at FNB with such a service that tells me blatantly that I will be prone to cybercrime wether I like it or not........ wow FNB just gave me the middle finger.
