Anyone can get into your FNB Bank Acc and debit it as they please and guess what, FNB will charge R40 to reverse the debit and an additional R25 to stop a debit order that you didn't authorize to begin with
I called the bank today. I had to hold on the line for 1 hour and 2 minutes before speaking to the next available consultant. I Spoke to a certain Sibusiso who helped to reverse an unauthorized debit order.
The ONLY thing GOOD about my experience was the service that Sibusiso gave. Even though I lost my cool, he was able to remain calm and help me to the best of his ability.
My trouble started on the 25th of May 2020, a debit of R99,99 went off on my account. I tried to reverse this debit using the FNB App, that was unsuccessful and I let that slide.
Fast forward to 25 June 2020, the same debit goes off with the same ref number. Again I tried to reverse this debit on the FNB app as I did not authorize this debit and I was unsuccessful again.
So let me call FNB directly. What I learned from FNB was that for them to reverse this unauthorized debit, I will be charged around R40, and for them to stop this debit order I will be charged an additional R25. All of this because FNB doesn't know if I have entered into an agreement with this company whose name they also do not know.
So, I trusted FNB so safeguard my money, but a company whose name they do not know was able to access and debit my account without any proof that I have authorized them to debit my account.
I shocked and disappoint with FNB. I am livid to be precise.
