Annual Linkage fee paid, but not app****
I had a Gold Cheque account and a classic credit card which was linked for Ebucks. I was charged an ANNUAL linkage fee for my credit card on 10 November 2015 of R200. During June, I upgraded my classic credit card to a gold credit card. Having already been charged an ANNUAL linkage fee previously, I assumed that this card would automatically be linked to earn ebucks. This does not seem to be the case. All my expenses during June on my credit card has conveniently been ignored for rewards purposes as well as to determine my reward level, which as a result has dropped to level 3. This has cost me roughly EB8000 for the month.
Surely if the linkage fee is paid ANNUALLY, it should cover a customers credit cards for a whole year. Upon calling the Ebucks call centre, the consultant initially confirmed to me that the linkage fee should cover the Gold credit card, but later in the call, said that the matter would be investigated.
This is unacceptable and ********* from FNB. I have been a huge supporter of the Ebucks program and have convinced many family and friends to switch to FNB due to the rewards program. I feel ****** and disappointed. My ref. at the call centre is RW***.
