An FNB account blocked by ABSA bank

Good day

I have been an FNB customer for 23 years. With my cheque account, a Pocket Savings Account opened in 2013 whereby change from my cheque account is paid into. Ever since I had this account I never could not the funds back into my cheque account because I cannot use the monies while in the Pocket saving account.

I called the bank and I was told that account was blocked and given a number to request the account to be unblocked, the number that is never answered.

I went to three FNB branches, Pretoria North, Kolonade and Wonderpark. Each time I am given a number to call, which rings forever and no answer at the end of line. The numbers I am provided with, are ABSA bank numbers because they are saying my FNB account is blocked by ABSA bank. How strange is that. The account I am having issues is an FNB account receiving funds from my FNB account, nothing to do with ABSA.

Then I complaint online, consultant from Premier Bank will call and I will have explain my problem and again an ABSA number will be offered for me to call and the a ***** number as well.

I will call those number again, the ABSA number will go unanswered and from the ***** number I will be given another number which also not be answered.

After been sent around the block a few times, I went back on line given that I can't access the funds from the account, there was no point in keeping the account, I requested the account to be closed on-line, I was informed again that since ABSA have the account closed I either call the number or go into an ABSA bank to request for the account to be unblocked.

I personally went to ABSA and they found that very strange.

Please advice

Kind regards RJ Thoane

It has been more than 3 weeks since somebody contacted regarding my query, asking if I have received a call because a person claimed that I was called regarding my complaint, of which not. I was then promised a followed call which I was to received and I have not until today. Regards
