Allow ********** transfer

Hi,

I have been shocked by the lack of involvement of FNB South Africa in my case of ********** online shopping.

I am a foreigner and got cheated on a **** website. I did a transfer to an ABSA bank from my FNB account.

I figured out the website was a **** and when I told FNB ***** service, the response was inefficient. I have been asked and provided so many proofs, emails, police case, **** ABSA account details, address and name of the ********** seller... and nothing happened.

The first answer was that the ABSA account does not exist, then that there was no money on the ABSA account so no refund possible, and that ABSA closed the account upon FNB request. Actually after 1 month of no news, I tried a new transfer of R1 to this **** ABSA account and it worked again so I assume there is absolutely no black list, checks, responsibilities, no actions taken by FNB on these cases.

This is sad most of all in South Africa to encourage this kind of behavior, and not to assume any liability in regards to these **** accounts.

I also raised a complaint with the Bank Ombudsman...

Just waiting for a gesture, action and refund.

Thanks

Aurelie
