Active but non visible forex account

I recently opened a Global account with FNB online which was an impressively easy process. Unfortunately due to an attempt of ***** on this account I closed the account and requested opening another account as this one had been compromised. I was then informed that the original account would be reopened and that this would take 24 to 48 hours. As this occurred on a Thursday I gave it until Monday when I was told the account was active. Only problem was that I could not see it online. Despite numerous daily calls and emails to FNB Forex and escalating the query to a manager I still have not have access to this account. 4 days later I was informed that it was discovered by the technical department that there was a technical error and that I was not the only affected customer. That was Thursday 26 April. Taking the public holiday into consideration I requested that I was kept informed by today what progress was being made. Once again I called the Forex department to speak to the manager who was busy. I left a message and still have not had my call returned. Tomorrow is May Day so once again a full non-productive day ensues.

When I call the Forex department I am not able to communicate with anyone else than the manager assigned to my case but this is proving extremely frustrating as I am promised feedback but receive none.

I have had very helpful consultants who have tried to assist me but the bottom line is that there is absolutely no progress and no information. Had I known that this process would now be going into its second week I would have bitten the bullet and app**** at another banking institution for a Global Account as this is not the service I expect from my bank. Clearly there is no interest in keeping me as a customer happy and confident in this institution.
