Account Mess

More than a year ago I visited the Randparkridge Branch to request the closure of my FNB accounts. It turns out that my request was never actioned. Instead of having the accounts closed I am now sitting with two accounts- one being at legal and the other still on my profile and very much active. FNB is now demanding I pay money for bank charges that have accrued over the period in question. I refuse to pay for the mistakes of a company that could care less to follow up and ensures that requests are actioned on a timely basis. I don't see why I have to play policeman to check and then hound the branch over and over again. At the time of closure, I explained the one account was meant to be an upgrade and not a NEW account. My existing account that I was using at that time was not in a negative and I certainly will not be paying a cent towards the R5000 it is sitting at now - SORRY
