Account lockdown without warning

I run a medium enterprise with a staff compliment of 26 and an annual turnover of approximately 55 million rands. On Thursday evening the 17/03/2022, I could not pay anyone from my business account. I called my business banker on friday morning thinking there was a technical error and it would be resolved. He advised me that my business account has been locked down due to Fica and I needed to get in touch with the Fica department. Also, they should not have locked down my account prior to informing me that they required certain documents and there was nothing logged on his system. I tried calling the Fica department at FNB where I waited on average 45 minutes to an hour with every call only to be disconnected. This happened 6 times. I finally gave up on friday evening and I had to explain to my staff and suppliers that I could not pay them due to the bank locking down my account without informing us that they were going to do so. On Saturday, I call again hoping that someone will be able to assist, to my surprise, nobody is available to assist. If My business is not compliant, why don’t you guys send me an sms telling me that we are not compliant and we as business owners will respond ASAP to ensure compliance. Don’t lock our account down. We are not *********. I’ve honestly had it with this ****** bank. I have made enquiries at Absa and have now taken the decision to move my entire portfolio over to them including my personal private wealth account. Good luck FNB. It’s really not been a good 10 years spent banking with you guys. At the rate you guys are carrying on, I’ll be surprised if people choose to bank with you further.
