account frozen without warning
I opened a new account about 2 weeks ago via phone. Submitted my ID and proof of residence via email. The photo on my ID was unclear and I made the mistake of sticking a clear photo on my ID and email it in. I admit this was my fault but never my intention to deceive. I simply wanted to help. Account was activated, but my full names were entered incorectly. On Thursday 23 April I was called by ***** department to go to branch and submit a new copy of my ID which I did. my account was frozen without warning. I had no access to my money and my debit orders would fail to go through. I had to leave work and spent entire day and R210 to get new Id. Account was temporary unfrozen, and I could transfer my money out, and once again switch my debit orders to old account. All this inconvenience, time I wasted, time from work, bank charges, could have been saved had the matter been handled better. I admit to my part, but FNB could have given me time to fix the problem before simply freezing my accounts. Why was I treated like a common ********? I am a new client and this happens. No explanation, no excuses, no help. Just another name on the computer. Should have closed my account
