account frozen without letting me know
I opened a FNB account over the phone in October/November 2014. My gold cheque card was delivered with a courier services and I was very impressed with the service! My mother passed on 30 December 2014 in the Northern Cape and I had to leave Pretoria for the funeral! While in the Northern cape I got a call from a FNB consultant to say I must activate my account and deposit money in there or the account will be closed! When I came back in Pretoria I went to the Silverton Branch and deposited R2000-00 in the account! When I tried to access the funds the ATM gave me a warning that my account has been frozen! I went to the Eldoraine Branch for enquiries! They said that there was suspicious transactions on the account and that I must call the ***** centre in Johannesburg! I was given the run around since that day! I made numerious phone calls with no assistance! I was told that I have a credit listing against my name since 2007 from another company! My funds are stil frozen but it is not R2000-00 any more its less! FNB was not suppose to give me the account if I was listed! I just need my funds cleared and I will then close it! I spended hundreds trying to resolve this issue!
