Account frozen no notice

I was shocked when I went to withdraw money and discovered that my account was frozen.I did not receive any notification from the bank. When I visited the branch I was attended by one lady who still need to go for training in customer care.I am from Zimbabwe and everyone knows all permit expired and I am still waiting for home affairs to tell me that my permit have been renewed.

Beside having a letter from Home Affairs which requested all banks and other institutions to continue offering services to Zimbabwean until the process of permits is completed I was told that my account cannot be opened until I have a new permit.

My family is going hungry as a cannot access my account.Does this means FNB cannot follow a simple directive from the Department of Home Affairs. Also please send your staff for training as the person who attended me is rude & does not even know that your bank always say HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

Fun the manager/supervisor could not even understand the letter from Home Affairs which my grade 3 child understood perfectly. One word to sum it up PATHETIC
