Account Frozen

To Whom It May Concern,

I have recently opened an account with FNB because I believed FNB is by far the most innovative bank, BUT I am fast beginning to wonder if I made the right decision. I opened my account, I received my card from the courier, I then had to go into the bank to activate everything which I understand. While I was there, I asked the clerk if the proof of address was acceptable and she said she would go and check, she came back and said "yes, no problem" I leave the branch and all is in order, I transfer all my funds into my account and go away to Knysna for the weekend only to find out my account has been frozen. ****m from home, no money and one very unhappy client. I'm sure you can understand why. Please assist me in the quickest and most painless manner so I can regain my faith in FNB.

While I was in Knysna I went into the branch to find out what the problem was, but they weren't sure and said it may be the proof of address, but I couldn't wait.

I still don't know why my account has been frozen, SURELY you would send an e-mail or phone a client and advise them of the problem, that would be a service I expect!

Regards

Monique
