Account fozen

Hi

In my wisdom and switch my bank account from Nedbank to FNB and the "No hassle In just a few easy steps you could switch your debit orders, recipients and salary to your new FNB account." has been a complete myth to me.

Yesterday after my salary was paid in for the first time I went to the ATM and this lovely machine gave me a message that my account has been frozen. That was like the cherry on the cake as I have received confirmation that my debit orders was switch but it still got dedicated from my old account. The only stuff that work is items that I have actioned myself

After 15 minutes on a call the service agent told me that the system is showing that I still need to submit documentation and she confirmed that she can see all the necessary documentation

I also send an urgent mail to my banker and clearly "my call is important to us" as I am still waiting for an answer. If this is the level of service that FNB renders to its customers I ask myself was this a wise decision to move
