Account downgrade taking forever

I’m failing to understand how it takes just a few hours to upgrade Fnb account but more than a week to downgrade, I put through a request on Monday already and to date no action, this is so annoying. What I wonder though is who’s going to pay for this delay, I’m expecting any charges on my account to be up to the date I requested the downgrade, I’m not paying for your incompetence.
