Account downgrade

I have been contacting the bank to ask for a downgrade of my cheque account due to the exorbitant monthly fees encountered but NO, they are not helping even though I have been with the bank for more than 10 years. This is how a loyal customer is being repaid. I am a disgruntled customer exposed to poor or no service despite my constant try to reach the bank with my request.
