At 15h53 today, I received a notification from FNB informing me that R279.90 had been reserved from my account due to an unauthorized Uber Eats purchase made from my business account."
Furthermore, since opening my account with FNB, I have exclusively used my personal account for online transactions, never my business account. Notably, all my online purchases have been delivered to either my business address or home. Additionally, with Uber Eats, their standard procedure includes notifying customers when an order is being prepared and providing a unique PIN to share with the delivery driver, which I did not receive in this instance."
Furthermore, I have checked my Uber Eats account history, which shows a record of my previous orders. However, the disputed transaction of R279.90 does not appear in my Uber Eats order history. The only transaction reflected is the legitimate purchase I made on January 5, 2025. Nevertheless, I received a notification from FNB indicating that the amount of R279.90 had been deducted from my account.
What's concerning is that the FNB ***** department employee who assiste me seemed more focused on expediting a new card replacement, rather than addressing my primary concern - the security of my funds. Moreover, I was taken aback that I would be required to bear the cost of the replacement card, despite being a victim of potential *****."
