A case for the bank Ombudsman - Devious FNB, Devious!

I have been a client for many years, and am disgusted to be associated with FNB. See what they have done, not know that the public keeps a watchful eye.

You have FNB fixed deposit and a rates table. Sometimes, the rates change ( going up or down ) and this reflects on your “Date Published” on your website. Little do you know, I take screenshots every month it changes to keep a record of my investment. Here is where you got caught out! The last screenshot I took was 3 June 2021 with a rate of 3.25% on 1 Million as an example. If I check your website today, you have dropped that percent to 3.05% but reveal the “publish date’ being 31 March 2021.

You are dishonest! You needed to drop the rate for some reason but revealing an old publish date for what? Why is the publish date not the 1st July? Why don’t you want the public to know it was 0.2% higher the month before? Secondly, I have a screen shot I took on 1 April 2021 – the information on your website is now the same as the screenshot I took – basically, you put old information back on again under the rouse of the investment being 3.05% since march 2021.

In summary, what you did was drop your rate and backdated your publish date giving investors the impression that there was not rate drop on 1 July, its always been that way! See screenshot, that why I keep proof every month!!!!
