A bank that gives little or no scheisse at all about me

I have been an FNB client for as long as I can remember with problems at least every trimester every year.

The one time I called to tell them I was going on a Road trip to Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe. I asked them not to block my card. Mind you I was not even going overseas, just around the corner and back and I had to cut my trip short.

The other time I simply got an SMS telling me that my cheque account card was cancelled and limits reduced. An hour later another SMS telling me that my cheque account was had holds placed on it.

Eventually, I called to close account after months and months of going around in circles.

I am now left with two business accounts and I have moved my personal life to a place where they pay little attention to me.

The businesses are struggling, but the one account I have held with them since 2007. As struggling and poor as I am, I have been paying bank fees between R300 to R600 every month since 2007. In December I opened an account online, submitted all documents and my card was delivered. A few days later I received a message telling me that they were missing documents. I sent the document via email as requested and I got another message. This time I decided to go into the bank to sort the issue out. The holds were lifted for about a week and the next thing I got another SMS and email telling me that the account was frozen yet again.

This time I called and explain. The man who assisted me said I needed to email specific document, CIPC CoR 14.2 which I did (twice) and to this very day the account is still placed on hold.

So this is how I am working now. I cannot give contradicting business account details when doing work. Some of my clients understand and pay into my Capitec Savings account but other client simply refuse to even pay the initial deposit whenever I get work.

So basically I am broke, unemployed and struggling to make ends meet and I keep getting it being shuffled in my behind by a bank that I have been giving my money to since 2002. Life is really strange you know.

This is the last time I say something about FNB. I hope someone comes to the rescue. I am just trying to make a life out of the nothing I have and do things right instead of hijacking and blowing up ATMs. I am trying to make things right and I keep losing potential business because of FNB.
