*******

A significant security lapse has occurred with my bank, FNB,

Over a series of transactions, approximately R140,000 was drained from my FNB account, and not a single one-time password (OTP) was sent to verify these transactions. Even more concerning, FNB failed to halt these transactions to unfami**** international merchants. It's an absolute shocker! What's even more baffling is that my card is still with me, and these transactions appear to be international payments made outside South Africa. There's no way this should happen! But that's not the worst part. I've been battling with their ***** department since October 5th, and it was only a 1 week or so back that they offered a meager R30,000 as compensation over a telephone. The terrible service I've received from FNB's ***** department has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I firmly believe that FNB should take full responsibility and return the entire amount. This cannot become the customer's problem. In my view, this incident is nothing short of daylight ******* by FNB. let's ensure that our hard-earned money remains safe in our FNB bank accounts.

In South Africa, I have observed that there are challenges within the banking sector. As we transition into a new era, I find myself eagerly awaiting the transformation of the current fiat-based banking system. My strong belief in the concept of karma assures me that the actions of both the financial institutions and their stakeholders will eventually have consequences. This message serves as a reminder to customers that the safety of their funds with FNB may warrant careful consideration.
