3 consultants - 3 different stories

Phoned FNB on Monday to cancel my credit card which I misplaced.

Card was cancelled and new card was ordered. I made it clear that I need to make payments from this account in the week and asked if the account would be affected in any way - the answer was no (obviously I cannot use the card though).

Come Tuesday - cannot make any payments or transfers on the account - call FNB again and was then told that sorry sir, only once a new card has been issued can I use the account again - this normally takes 24 hours. Ok fine

Wednesday - get a SMS that a card was issued, try making payment still nothing.

Cal them again, this time I am told that even though I was misinformed twice by their consultants, the account will only be accessible once the card is activated. 3rd consultant and 3rd story given. I make it clear that if I had received the correct information from the start I would have made the payments before cancelling the card. No luck - they will not assist due to internal policy.

So.if the policy is firm, why do 3 different consultant have different interpretations of said policy?

Ludicrous service
