2weeks and no card and a waste of time literally!

My premier banking cheque account was opened on the 29th March 2017. It's now more than 2 weeks and I still haven't received a card and therefore can't register for Internet banking or anything like that. My salary was even paid into that fnb account today and I am unable to use it.

I followed up on my card numerous times in the past 2 weeks.

Today I got a call at about 10am confirming the delivery of my card to my work address between 2-4 PM. Then at 12:30PM I got another call from ccd couriers to make a booking for a time for me to receive my card, I advised that I had already done that this morning and the lady then said yes she sees it on the system.

At 1PM I was advised that due to it being the Easter weekend, we can all have the rest of the day off. However I knew my card was on its way therefore I waited at work even though I had no work to do.

At 3PM I called ccd to enquire what time will the card be delivered, and advised that I have finished work and would appreciate it if the card could be delivered asap, the agent who took my call said he will call the driver and find out and then put me on hold. When he returned he indicated that he spoke to the driver and said that he will be contacting me soon because he is on his way to me.

Then at 4PM I called ccd again, I explained and they asked me to hold and they cut the call. I immediately called back, there I enquired about the card as it was time for me to leave the office. She then advised that the card hasn't been dispatched. At this point I was beyond furious. She asked if she could reschedule and I said no I want it today since I wasted hours waiting for it. She said she is transferring me to the couriers department and put me on hold and then cut the call on me again.

I then called back and spoke to some else who said she would escalate the issue and get the card delivered to me today and that the couriers department will contact me.

I waited for an hour and no one contacted me. I called back after 5 and ccd was closed.

Thereafter made numerous calls to the premier banking team and they said they will call back but didn't, in the end I saw an email saying they can't get hold of me After calling and speaking to the lady I spoke to before who advised that they also couldn't get a hold of ccd. I advised that if I don't get my card today I will be closing my accounts on an earlier call. Now on the last call o requested that she transfer all my money from both my current account and money maximizer to another account, but because I am not registered for Internet banking she couldn't. She apologized and said that normally clients are not treated that way.

I only opened this account as I am taking a home loan and fnb offered a discounted rate if o move to them.

Due to this poor service I would definitely not want my bond registered with fnb or have any account with fnb. I will definitely be moving elsewhere.

All fnb has done was inconvenience me and cost me more than R100 in airtime today.

I am definitely taking this to social media, hello Peter and the banking ombudsman. Kindly provide me with a reference number so that I can Lodge a compliant with the banking ombudsman.

There is no point in getting people to move to you if you can't service their needs, I don't see how people can go such long periods without access to their funds.

I have even been having issues with a credit card in terms of a rate review, I proved that all standard bank private clients get a rate of prime less 0.25 and Also got a stamped letter from my Banker. But fnb insists on a statement but the statement doesn't show the rate as I pay before 55 days and therefore don't incur interest, but this is still not good enough

The service is terrible and level of professionalism is despicable from fnb.
At the beginning of a relationship you can't keep a client happy so I guess you will never be able to.

Even though ccd is not fnb, they represent fnb!
