285% interest rate on covid relief loan

I paid off all my credits and loans except for a student loan. Covid happened and since I have some pressure from work I app**** for the covid relief. In October 2020 I saw the statement and I could not understand any of it. I wrote on email asking for a detailed description for each transaction and to close the account. I got back a small description for transactions. Not what I asked for. I paid the settlement, FNB didn't close the account. The settlement kept changing so I had to pay 3 times.

I looked at the account in December and saw it still being open. FNB withdrew funds of about 70k and paid it back in November. But since FNB withdrew these funds, FNB charged me interest on these funds. The total outstanding beginning of November was about 2k. Interest charged was about R500. Whopping 285% interest rate. Since I didn't use the 70k I should not pay interest for the 70k.

I contacted many departments already including ***. personal loans department is the worst since they explained to get an explanation takes 5 working days. Which didn't happen. Still awaiting for an explanation.

The account is now finally paid and closed. Yet I have not received any feedback on the amounts, charges etc.

I had 2 unexpected charges in December and wanted to get some credit from FNB. All rejected due to the covid loan.

I went to another institution and got a credit card there. No waiting period of any kind. (Great credit record)

Seems I should change banks....
