1 Cashier Policy

FNB has instituted a one cashier only policy with a view to replacing cashiers with automated deposit machines that can accept coins and also to replace enquiry staff with automated systems that can open accounts, etc. Whilst many of these services are already available in some form online, branch visits by businesses needing change etc. are still necessary. The one cashier that was supposed to assist has a very bad passive aggressive attitude in general and is extremely slow, although I have mentioned this to a customer service agent before. On top of that, the dispensing machine gave hassles again and the other cashier was out on lunch. This resulted in nobody being attended to after I had already waited approximately 30 - 40 minutes. I left to return to my place of employ and went back the following day. Low and behold after waiting 45 minutes for the cashier to attend to 3 customers I was \helped"with a bad attitude and the usual snail pace. Change packets were also just chucked onto the counter. What are you thinking FNB? Maximising share holder profits? Funding your new cellular network? Executive bonuses? Think job creation! Think training!"""
