0/10 for FNB Consultants on Revolvilng Loan
HORRIBLE experience with FNB consultants on the Revolving Credit Loan.
When I first took out the account several years ago, the said I can withdraw at any time. The funds will be accessible even while I'm still paying it off. Somewhere along the way, I attempted to withdraw and they then told me that at least 15% of the total loan value.
I've been paying it off and had paid off more than this amount this morning. I called to ask why I wasn't able to access the amount I've paid off. They said I need to pay an extra amount (four times the monthly installment) to access the full amount. This was after I made a payment earlier in the morning. I made the payment as they instructed.
When I called again immediately after, they said my account was in arrears last month because the debit order had failed. I had received no attempt at a debit (on the debit date they say it goes off). They said the loan attempts to debit from an old account i closed THREE YEARS AGO. When I asked why this was so because I upgraded my account in December 2015, they said I didn't upgrade my account (like I was told at the time). I had just opened a new one and they have been making manual transfers on my behalf.
If this is the case, why was a manual transfer not made last month? And also, how have they been attempting to debit from a closed account that is with FNB? When I closed this account, they did tell me the debit would be moved to the new account.
FNB have dropped the ball on several occasions. But when I confront them, they say the onus is on me as the account holder to ensure what they're attempting to do is done.
The loan facility is fine. The people who manage it have done a horrible job.
FNB needs to contact me to make the total loan amount accessible again AS PROMISED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS.
