Miss leading info at a time when you are vulnerable

My daughter had an accident on the 5 October 2024 on the Corner Lud Hersch Drive and Robert Broom Dr, Krugersdorp. When I reach the scene the owned of the vehicle that bump my daughter was on the scene and have made arrangements with First Help tow truck driver to tow the vehicle to my home address for a value of R950 that is in discovery due to the fact we didn’t have insurance. The tow truck driver insisted that we tow the vehicle to the same place as our claim will be a third party claim and the insurance will pay for everything. I told them I don’t have the funds for the towing or storage if that cost will occur but the tow truck driver kept insuring me and my dad the third-party will cover the cost and told us a story about I’ll need 3 quotes and that the assessor won’t come to my house to access the vehicle that is why it’s best to take the vehicle to the same address. After some time and convincing I agreed. I was given a form to complete where right at the bottom it stats you have read the term and conditions. Today 07 October 2024 we are being notified that the insurance doesn’t cover the towing or storage and I’m hit with a R12k bill, after speaking to the manager Robbie inquiring where he is getting the cost from he then reference me to the back of the page I have signed. After I still can’t get the amount he is taking about it turns out to be a old booklet with the old price. The attitude is bottom line I singed and I must pay the amount. They are exploit people and just have that no care mentality the car value is not even worth R15k. And looking at the Hello Peter reviews it seems I’ll get the standard reply and nothing will come of this. But please be aware of this *****sters.
