What happened to The First For Woman Insurance's company I joined 5years ago?

First For woman has been a disappointment lately, its easier for them to deduct the premiums but a mission for them process a claim...I keep asking myself-what will happen if my car were to be written off/house completely burns down?

on the 23rd of December 2024,i lodged a claim for my house minor damages-which was affected by a neighbour's fire-something totally beyond my control.

1st it was their accessor who couldn't come to my house as I was told they're closed for the year-why then assign someone knowing they're not available?

I allow that to slide as it was festive and I could manage the situation.

Eventually their accessor came on the 27th of December, only to spend less than 5minutes at my house as he was in a hurry for his next appointment, basically he took the same pics I had already submitted via the first for woman app. on the 23rd December 2024.

Even though I brought other damages to his attention i.e geyser and perishable items which were also affected by the temporary malfunctioning electricity caused by the fire-he wasn't bothered and told me to contact insurance directly.

on the 2nd Jan.2025, I made a follow up as the FFW consultant had initially agreed, only to be told the person handling my claim is on leave nor did he assign my claim to anyone. How does a First For Woman official's leave affect a client's claim?

today is the 2nd of Jan(business day already over)-still no one has been in touch with me even though I made attempts to contact them and was given an assurance a follow up will be made by end of business day(02/01/2025).

1)im curently in danger as my electric fence was damaged due to fire and my security is compromised since the 19th of December 2024,my geyser is malfunctioning and I had to top up my perishable Xmas as they were affected by tripping power.

In closing:My premiums are up to date as last premiums were deducted on the 20th of December 2024 instead of 31st December(last day of the month as per my debit mandate with them)-which still I didn't mind due to public holidays in-between but a courtesy call would have made a difference.

What is then the purpose of having an insurance if one has do go into such ordeals for a claim?

Good day 1st for Woman representative,

today is the 3rd of Jan,exactly end of 10days since I lodged my claim.
I was sent from pillar to post by your Consultants until end of your business day(17:00).
mind me, I had to press the "panic button" to get through your agents as calls are forever busy, one waits 15-20min using a mobile phone.

fFrst call was around 10:00am to do a follow up, I was told Goodness Gitseone who wa originally handling my claim is on leave and left things as they are-mind me,he didn't do any good even before going on leaves had to chase him.

It was then transferred to Edward Nkwana and I was given an assurance he would be in touch before 17:00.He never did(not surprised at all).

I called again just before 17:00(16:57), the lady told me to escalate the matter on Monday as all departments are already closed.

I had to cancel my road trip as I can't leave my house without a functioning alarm and electric fence whilst your staff is on leave and ***********.Monday im going back to work meaning my leave must wait until April.

This is pure disrespect and under par service from First for Woman mind me-you always on time to deduct premiums and even breach the debit agreement when it favours you but do the opposite with customer/client service.
