Vehicle Damaged Further While in 1st for Womens Care

On 29 August 2025, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and immediately lodged a claim with 1st for Women. After an excessively lengthy investigation, my claim was ultimately rejected. However, my biggest concern is the additional damage caused to my vehicle while it was in the care and custody of 1st for Women and their appointed service providers.

On 1 September 2025, my vehicle was collected by 1st for Women’s towing partner and delivered to A1 Assist, 91 Banfield Road, Industrial North for assessment. At the time of collection:

Only the left side of my vehicle had sustained significant accident damage.

The bonnet was in good condition.

The front bumper was only partially damaged.

The right side and interior were undamaged.

On 2 September 2025, I received an assessment notice — from an incorrect email address — advising that the inspection would be conducted the following day. The assessment was completed, and I was given the outcome.

However, on 11 September 2025, I received an alert indicating that my vehicle battery had been disconnected — long after the assessment had already taken place. This was my first indication that something was wrong with the handling of my vehicle.

On 22 September 2025, my claim was formally rejected. On the same day, I asked my claims consultant Keegan Kgori (Telesure Investment Holdings, the underwriter for 1st for Women) to confirm the location of my vehicle, as we intended to collect it to avoid storage fees. He informed me that the vehicle was still at A1 Assist.

I then arranged to collect the car with my father and our independent panel beater. Upon arrival, we were informed that the vehicle had been moved to Auction Nation in Centurion — without any notification to me. At this point, Mr. Kgori stopped responding to calls and emails. We later learned that he had not processed our request for collection, despite being aware of the storage implications.

After escalating the issue to 1st for Women, the vehicle was eventually delivered to our panel beater on 25 September 2025. The condition of the car upon delivery was far worse than when it had left my yard:

The bonnet had been forcibly shifted.

The bumper appeared **********.

The license plate was hanging loose.

The battery had been tampered with.

The entire hooter system had been removed.

The repairs now required far exceed the cost of repairing the car in its original post-accident condition. It is unacceptable that my vehicle suffered this extent of additional damage while in the care of 1st for Women and its agents.

Throughout this process, the customer service from both 1st for Women and Telesure has been extremely poor, unresponsive, and at times hostile. The lack of accountability and the apparent disregard for clients' property is deeply disappointing — especially from a company entrusted with protecting that very property.

I am requesting urgent intervention, accountability, and a resolution for the additional damage caused to my vehicle while under your custody.
