Utterly disgusted
As a result of poor service with a claim in December 2014, I decided to move my insurance. I contacted another company for a quote - not because I was looking for a better price, but because I was looking for better service. The new company informed me that FFW would phone me at the end of the first week in March to confirm cancellation of the policy on 31 March 2015, since I would then have given a proper month's notice of the cancellation. I received a call from FFW on 7 March 2015, confirming cancellation of my policy on 31st March 2015. I was given the assurance that the policy is still valid until 31 March 2015. Today, out of the blue, I received an e-mail from FFW, with a letter informing me that my policy has been cancelled, effective at midnight on 7 March 2015. I have paid my premium in full until 31 March 2015 and FFW is obliged to honour our contract until 31 March 2015. And come hell or high water, I will keep them to the contract. It turns out the poor service that I experienced was just the tip of the iceberg.
