Hi, I was involved in an accident on the 3rd of August, and the insurance was called on the same day. When I called they didn't register the claim instead advised that I need to get a reference number from the police station which I did and the claim was registered on the 4th when I called the insurance again. I was told to take the car to be assessed, which I did the very same day. While at the assessment centre the assessor advised that since my car had paint work done on it before he will advise the insurance to pay out cash in loo so I can take the car to my own panel-beater. We called the insurance at the assessment centre to find out that if they approved the cash loo, will they pay out the car rental amount which I'm covered 15 days for. First for woman advised that since my cover has car rental option, yes it will be included in the payout so I can get a car while I take the car in for rental. On Monday the 7th the assessor advised that the insurance didn't approve the quote because my car is at write off status, the repair amount was R13 998 and odd cents and if I can get a quote lower than R11 000.00 from my own panel beater then they might approve the quote. I took the car to an authorised panel beater and got a quote and sent to both the assessor and the insurance. Today the 16th of August I called First for women and they advised that the quote for R10 898.... has been approved and will be paid out minus the access amount of R3 400.00. I queried the car rental amount because when I take the car in for repairs, I need to a car. They told me that they will pay out R116.... hundred and sixteen odd rand per day for the car rental because I decided to get a pay out. My question to the consultant was where am I going to rent a car for R116.... and advised her that I called Euro cars to find out how much I will need for car rental for 15 days since that is the company they work with and Euro cars advised that it will be R6742... for seven days and that included discount because I am a First for women customer. I told the consultant, the assessor is the one who suggested the cash in loo, not me because they don't want their panel beaters reputation to be *****ed if the paint work is not correct on the car because of the previous paint work done on the car. I advised her that we can take the car to the panel beater where I got the quote from and they can high the car for me and I won't take the cash. She then spoke to her manager and advised that the car rental department will call me during the cause of the day. I'm not happy at all with First for women and how my claim was handled. First of all I did Not ask to be paid in cash, the assessor advised that because they don't want to ***** the image of their panel beaters. Why can't they stick to what they promised me when I took out the contract regarding the car rental, where am I going to get a car to rent for Hundred and sixteen rand. This is a ******* and abuse from first for women and to think it's a company to accommodate women and make their lives easy. For two weeks now I'm driving around with a car that has no car registration, and I'm being stopped by metro police on a daily basis and they ask why am I driving a car with no licence plate numbers. That is one of the things that got lost in the accident. I'm driving with a broken screen and now that it's starting to get hot I'm scared the screen will be more damaged and fall off. I'm driving a car that only has one glass cover and only lights on one side, and I get home when it's dark. Why can't First for women treat their customer well, this is abuse to a women on women's month. Unhappy customer
