Unsatisfied with the service rendered by the First For Women Team

ME van Niekerk/First For Women 6 Policy number *** ***

Good day!

I have yet another complaint regarding a claim at First for Women. When I placed a complaint through Hello Peter the previous time, I received immediate attention and rectification (in a way), of the matter by the First For Women team!

WHY IS IT NECESSARY FOR ME TO HAVE TO FOLLOW THIS ROUTE AGAIN?

I unfortunayely scratched my car and damadged the left side mirror.... Quite a serius scrath, but no dent that needs panelbeating, spray painting only.

I reported the incident in March already. I submitted the photo's needed within 2 days after their request.

After some time passed, I was reminded that the claim will be discarded seeing that I have exeeded the time schedule for submitting the photo's. I contacted them immediately and pointed out the fact that they are in the wrong, and that they have indeed received the photo's!!!

R3000 was allocated to me out of my "scratch" policy that I have with them. I brought it under their attention that it was an accident, not scratch marks, in other words it shouln't be paid out of my "scratch" policy, but the accident policy, and that they must keep in mind that the mirror was also damaged! (The mirror alone costs R770)!

Then the process started from scratch again. I had to go to a panelbeater for a quotation. I did it immediately and went to a panelbeater closest to where I stay. Smash Autobody. I submitted the quotation which was LESS than R6000, the mirror INCLUDED!!!!

Then at last, I received a call from a panelbeater also not far from where I stay, namely Automagic Zambezi.

They informed me that I have to make an appointment with them for the repairs. I was informed that the excess payable is R6000! When I queried this, I was informed that the reason for the high amount I have to pay as excess, was because THEIR, (First For Women's), assessment of the damage was R18,000, which is REDICULOUS!!!!

I put the repair of the car on hold, contacted First For Women again, and asked for the name and number of the person/company which gave them this unbelievably, REDICULOUSLY, high quotation, so that I can report this person/company who did the assesment for them. They didn't provide me with any names or telephone numbers, but I was promised that they will look into the matter, and report back to me....

THAT WAS TWO WEEKS AGO! I haven't had any feedback from them yet????

Thus I feel free to report the matter to you, and hopefully there will be a prompt response from the First For Women Team, as was the case with the hail damage in December 2025!

Kind regards, ME van Niekerk
