Unhappy client

I had building insurance with 1st for women since I bought the building 6 years ago. Since it was a vandalized building it had no roof and completed everything that was needed to make it a house a year and a half later. Last month due to the storm part of the roof got damaged. I called the them to assess the damage and lodge a claim. They came and the assessment was that they could see that the damage was recent but they are rejecting the claim as the roof wasn't maintained. I don't understand what maintenance is needed on a tiled roof that is less than 5 years in existence. They are just happy to keep getting premiums but when it comes time for them to do what they are supposed to do, they will find the lamest excuse not to pay.
