Think twice before taking insurance with this company.

I was involved in a car accident on the 17 May 2017,a car hit me from the back but fortunately they where no injuries. Then my problems started I called my insurance to put in a claim which I did and answered all their questions to the best of my knowledge the lady who was assisting me at the time booked my car for assessment on Monday the 24 May at Constantia at 9:00 and also told me that since well the car is only going for assessment on Monday she thinks it's best if i go to glasfit to fit the rear windscreen so that I'll be able to drive the so long leading to Monday.I took time from work and went there only to be told they can't fit the windscreen because the car needs panelbeating first,I called back and told them how I can't drive a car without windscreen and they declared it undrivable and arranged towing company to pick up the car and also approved car hire.I went to collect the car hire on Friday the 19th May and was told it due to be back by the 18 June which is a month and my cover does pay for that.come the Monday nobody from the insurance called about the assessment but got a call from some guy from the assessment centre asking y I never came for the assessment which I explained the car was towed away and don't have the car here with .I wondered y the insurance never cancelled the assessment at the centre and arrange one where the car was stored for the day it was arranged. The car was only assessed on Wednesday and the claim processed on Thursday. By this time I had the car hire for almost a week.from the time my car was processed I never got any call from the insurance about how far they are in repairing the car but would receive random sms from the panelbeater saying she will be In contact which never until the last week of May.Her name was Lana from renewit in randburg.she told me my car is in panelbeating and she will keep me updated.seeing that the days are leading to when the car hire is due I called my insurance to find out what's the way forward I spoke with sindi from repairs who promised to call the panelbeaters and get back to me the following day and she never did.I called again and spoke to Sam from repairs and she basically told me that there is no way they are gonna extend the car hire because I pay for 30 days and if it's finishing its my problem not theirs because the panealbeaters are waiting for parts.I mean I don't work at the parts manufacturing company so why am i being told about parts and she also told me the panelbeater said there is still a big job to be done on the car which means I will be without a car for a long time.this insurance when they sell you this things they promise you that ur car will be done within 30 days in my case it's not.I have a small baby who is asthmatic and should an emergency occur I would be car less cause the car hire needs to be back.I'm so dissapointed we pay our hard earned money for peace of mind only to be stressed out by the same people who promise you that people like Sam who doesn't want to see reason but always want to be right.I told her I need to speak to her supervisor and she dropped the phone on my ear.with so many insurance in south Africa you would think these type of issues shouldn't even be there and insurance be loyal to their loyal customers.I hope whoever reads these thinks twice before taking insurance like these one it's your money nd it should work for you.this insurance never calls for update never you must chase them.I really can't wait for my car to be back so I can shop around for a better insurance. I'm done with first for women. you have lost a customer first for women.
