This has to be the worst Insurance company I have ever been with. My daughter was involved in an accident in March 2019 when she was dropping my grandaughter off at school. A lady jumped a stop street. I was assured by the tow truck driver that I would be kept informed of my Ford Figo every step of the way regarding repairs etc. I own the vehicle and I am the main driver. I put my daughter as one of the drivers as she uses the vehicle now and again for my grandaughter.

There was a gentleman called Ayanda that was dealing with the claim. I continuously called him for updates on the claim. He never returned calls. When he finally did get back to me he wanted the police report. 2 weeks had gone by and now he asks me. R140 later from the Alberton traffic department for the police report, I then sent the report onto Ayanda. I waited again. Only then was I told that the excess was R5300 and another R5300 as my daughter wasn't the main driver and R380 for a front right tyre as 50% of the tread was used. I checked my policy and it only says R4800 for the excess and R3600 if she wasn't the regular driver. It doesn't say anything about the tyres.

The premium in 2016 when I first insured the car was R500.07 with a value of R137000 for the vehicle. Now the value of the vehicle is R83000 but the insurance is R952.55 and the excess is R5300 for regular driver and R10300 for non regular driver. COSTING A LOT MORE FOR LESS. Where am I supposed to find that kind of money???????

Now I am told that the vehicle was moved from Greenstone to Alberton to be repaired. It took another week for that to happen. It is now the end of April and still no vehicle.

All I can say is that they are ******* when it comes to paying out on a claim. I would never recommend this insurance to anyone, let alone a woman.
