04 Aug 2022, 08:53***3# Claims 1st for Women: Policy ***.
Quite disappointed thus far since I’ve submitted my claim . I’ve had an accident and submitted a claim in June already … I followed the required process and sent pictures of the damages . I didn’t get feedback for about a week until I went online and saw my claim was rejected , when I called in I kept on being informed the person responsible for the claim was yet to get back to me and explain why it was rejected . Fair enough , I waited . A lady eventually got in contact with me and advised the damages seen on the picture were less than my access fee … Cool , that meant obviously I could now go repair the car myself , then I was given the auto repairs shop’s details that was going to be used for my claim . In essence I was given the contracted and recommended repairer’s details . I then took my car there only to be informed that “Ma’m these damages here are defined well over your access fee so this needs to be an insurance claim , you can bring in the car and we will communicate with the insurer to proceed with the claim “ . I went to the repairer on the 25 of July , paid my access fee as I was informed I’d have to pay it to them , the repairer fixed the car BUT now PG Glass is unable to finish the rest of the job because insurance is giving run around arounds for the claim. Till today my car is sitting at the panel beaters with no windscreen with PG glass refusing to participate and insurance not exactly participating either. 1 - You are the ones doing picture assessments via who ever is contracted with you to do so , at which point aren’t you open minded enough to understand that pictures can be incorrectly assessed and make room for an affective follow up process. 2 . Since you are contracted with the repairer and as your client I have followed your instructions why aren’t you requesting for the required documents from the repairer and following an edequate process because who in this day in age is expected to pay their insurance premiums timely yet be without a car for weeks on and for unnecessary delays ??? This is my first ever insurance claim and so far it’s such a nightmare!
