Terrible

I am extremely disappointed with the way First for Women has handled my motor vehicle insurance claim.

I was involved in an accident on 26 August 2026 and submitted my claim promptly. I was later instructed to take my vehicle to Northside Auto Body in Muledane, where I delivered it on 8 September 2026. First for Women provided me with a rental vehicle for 30 days, while the repairer advised that the repairs would take approximately 21 days.

However, the repairs could only start after First for Women approved the claim on 16 September 2026. The delay in approving the claim affected the repair turnaround time, but First for Women is now refusing to extend my car hire. I am being forced to return the rental vehicle even though my own vehicle is still undergoing repairs.

What is even more disappointing is that First for Women did not proactively follow up with the appointed repairer to monitor the progress of the repairs. The insurer only became aware of the extent of the delay after I contacted them and complained.

I comp**** with all the requirements, submitted my claim promptly, and delivered my vehicle to the repairer selected by the insurer. I should not be left without transport because of delays that were not caused by me.

I am requesting First for Women to take responsibility, extend my car hire until my vehicle is ready for collection, and provide a clear update on when the repairs will be completed.

Based on how this claim has been handled, I am giving First for Women 1 star. The service, communication, and lack of accountability have been extremely disappointing.
