stay away from 1st for Women
There is just no way of contacting first for women to follow up on a claim, except for the call centre. I called the call centre for the last 2 months. The app didn't work when I tried to submit the claim. A claim was then captured telephonically. They called me back a couple of times in the last 2 months when I requested them to via the app, now that also doesn't work. No claim for my roof is registered according to the call centre consultants, although the assessor was sent out twice. If i get them to call me back, they only refer to a geyser claim of sep last year, when their contractors slashed my undercover of the roof and moved the tiles. It was raining in and now the walls are damaged. apart from that, cement is breaking loose due to bad weather conditions. They promise to find out and call me back. they don't. the assessor *** can't remember what he reported/ advised and wants me to call his office. ***. I cannot get through. I will have to get a quote and pay for it myself as no one can tell me what's going on. It should be LAW that there must be an email address and contact name/ number to contact an insurance. Does FFW even exist? who takes my R2000 every month? is it not just a website with 3 call centre agents and an assessor?
Thank you so much for sharing your service experience with us on this platform, we are disappointed to hear about your service experience. Our claims team will be in touch.

Guess what? The assessor was sent to investigate a plumbing problem. Not the roof I reported and I cannot get them to register the roof claim as well.
The previous assessors came to take photos, and a month later to measure the place that needs to be painted.
ps I only realised the roof was leaking, beginning March 2022, when paint started peeing off. I got out someone to fix, who got into the roof and told me it must have been the previous guys (sent by FFW) who replaced the geyser - they slashed the undercoat under the tiles, and move the tiles to be able to see better or maybe to take the faulty geyser out.
I contacted FFW immediately and several times after that to come out and fix. there is only a call centre number and you are VERY lucky if something is done about a claim.
An assessor came out beginning March, got up on the roof, and inside the roof, and told me that cement is also breaking out possibly due to poor weather conditions. I informed FFW that it's not only the geyser hole in the tiles that is a problem, but the whole roof. Because the claim is never registered, i have to explain everything every time i call them. The app didn't work.
After 2 months, the original assessors have still not send in a report.
A manager, Leilanie, called me yesterday to promose a new assessor will come out.
Today another assessor was sent to assess the (now much more) damage. however, he was sent out for the plumbing problem - that doesn't exist. No ladder, no getting into the roof, he cannot see on the roof, as it's a double storey house, he can just see the peeling paint. And based on the peeling paint he informed me 'but that is wear and tear.'
He is so good, he can see by the way the paint is peeling, that the roof damage is due to wear and tear. REALLY?
Already preparing me that nothing will be paid out? If you have building insurance with FFW, you don't need building insurance. Stay away people!
