Snail pace Insurer, for those with all the time in the world. Rush for what?

It has been 9 days since my incident, and I still haven`t received a verdict on my incident. On the 19th February, a neighbour`s tree collapsed into my boundary wall damaging the wall and electric fence which I reported same day.

Firstly,I was met with rudeness as a claims agent dismissed my request for home assist services( a tree feller and security guard). This agent then told me I needed to just wait for an assessor to contact me,no turn around was provided. She refused to dispatch a security guard, stating that I do not need those services.

Secondly I was passed on from home assist to claims Department so many times, that I was loosing confidence in my issue ever getting due attention.

Only on day 6 did the contractors and assessor come out to assess. For such a minor incident,I would have expeceted this incident to have been dealt with in 3 days the longest.Today is day 9,I am due to receive the verdict of the assessment. This minor incident has been going on for longer than it took for my vehicle claim with a different insurer 15 years ago.

On day 2 of the incident,i requested for a complaints handling e-mail form two people at 1st for women,i have been denied that as well. We are even denied the luxury of sending a complaints email.

On day 1 I was promised contact details of my incident manager, until Today on day 9 i still do not have those contact details.

I have had much better cover before.I was just informed that I am under-insured! Wow, I knew that you must be searching for a reason not to pay with all these unexplained delays.
